Photographer of the Year
Written by President

The Sweetwater Camera Club's monthly contests are more than an opportunity to share your work with other photographers and get valuable feedback on how to improve your skills.  They are more than an incentive to get out and shoot.  Contests are more than a catalyst for further academic discussion and fellowship.  Indeed, they are all these things, but they are more...

Our contests are also a competition.  Points are awarded for first, second, and third place.  You even get one point just for submitting an image (as long as it satisfies our contest rules).  These points accumulate throughout the calendar year, and the member who ends up with the highest score is honored with our Photographer of the Year title.  Additionally, that person's membership dues are waived for the year.

I am pleased to announce this year's Photographer of the Year is Nicky Dunn.  Congratulations Nicky.  I would like to point out that Nicky was last year's Photographer of the Year as well, so let's all participate in the contests and give her some more competition.
