The fourth Sweetwater Camera Club shootout contest held on Sunday, September 18th resulted in the following awards:

Category1: Glowing:
1st Place – Stella Spyrou - truck
2nd Place – Sandra Belk – Glowing lamps (color)
3rd Place – Nicolette – Glowing (b&w)

Category2: Car Parts:
1st Place – Stella Spyrou - Bus
2nd Place – Norma Nichols - tire
3rd Place – Nicolette – car part1

Category3: Self Portrait in Cartersville:
1st Place – Nicolette – self portrait
2nd Place – Retz Joseph – self portrait
3rd Place – Stella Spyrou – self portrait

Category4: Liquid:
1st Place – Nicolette - liquid
2nd Place – Sandra Belk – liquid

Category5: Cartersville Architecture:
1st Place –  Stella Spyrou – Coconuts Ice Cream

CAC Opening--Artists include 5 Sweetwater Camera Club Members

This Thursday evening, April 1st, from 6 to 8 p.m. the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County (of which the Sweetwater Camera Club is a satellite organization and avid fan . . .) is having a gallery opening entitled:  “Recent Acquisitions & Cherished Favorites”
celebrating their permanent collection of works which just happens to include works by 5 Sweetwater Camera Club members:

Frank Karycinski, Nicolette Dunn, Steve Pritchard, Linda Britt and Jim Gardner. Congratulations, SCC members!!

This show will be on display until April 30th.

The reception is hosted by the Douglas County Chamber Singers, a CAC Satellite Organization which just happens to have a spring concert this evening at 8 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church featuring a Broadway theme . . . the DCCS recently starred at Carnegie Hall!
