May 15th - A Taste Of Douglasville, O'Neil Plaza in Historic Downtown Douglasville. Great food, arts and crafts booths, children’s activities and two festival stages with a variety of talented local performers. 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. May 22nd - Serenbe Community, Palmetto, GA. Serenbe is a 900 acre community located in Chattahoochee Hill Country, just 45 minutes south of the Cultural Arts Center in Douglasville. Serenbe is a pedestrian friendly planned community of unique architecture, custom family homes and townhomes, walking paths, rustic farms, quaint cottages and unique shops. Serenbe is a national model of balanced development focusing on land preservation, agriculture, eco friendly “green” buildings, a pedestrian friendly main street, arts and culture and community living. Serenbe demonstrates how urban development models can succeed on the edge of a metropolis while preserving a vast majority of its green space.
