Major SCC Website Changes are in the Works!
By Sweetwater Camera Club

We are currently in the process of upgrading the front page, navigational structure and overall functioning of the Sweetwater Camera Club web site. . .

Plans are in the works for keeping events and articles up to date. This will take the place of the traditional newsletter and make it much easier to post events as they arise rather than once a month. Please check back often, because this site will be changing much more often than once a month. Thanks!

What about the people that don’t have Internet service? And the people that never look at this sight. Just asking.

People who don’t have Internet Service won’t be able to access this website, unfortunately. As of 2008-01 over 90 percent of adult americans have internet access even if it is only for e-mail. The site is for public viewing, not just by SCC members but by the entire digital world.

Do you have any suggestions? We live in a new communication age and if people understand when the meetings take place, the second Thursday of every month at St. Julians Episcopal Church in Douglasville at 7:00 P.M, I’m sure they will show up. This Internet site is an organizational tool which provides a container for information regarding the Sweetwater Camera Club activities. It also provides a learning environment outside of the two hour meeting for those who are interested.

The newsletter has evidently become so burdensome to publish that it has been discontinued. Of course volunteers with publishing skills could change that if anyone is interested in that.
